Primagaz Opens a New NGV Station in Montpellier

Primagaz, in partnership with Avia, has just installed its 13th French NGV station on the territory of the commune of Vendargues. Located in the industrial zone of Salaison, the new joint station of Avia and Primagaz is located on the territory of the commune of Vendargues, north-east of Montpellier and in the immediate vicinity of the A9 motorway.

Delivering CNG and LNG, the new Primagaz station in Vendargues has an 80 m3 tank, three bunkering tracks and two islands. The Ingeole firm was the prime contractor. It is equipped with two LNG dispensing devices as well as two CNG dispensing devices (NGV1 and NGV2 connectors). Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it is sized to accommodate up to 200 vehicles per day.

Accessible to all, the resort accepts payments by credit card as well as around fifteen petrol or fuel cards.

In addition to professional vehicles, the Vendargues station will also supply vehicles from the city of Montpellier’s fleet. Made up of light vehicles, utility vehicles and refuse collection vehicles, it now has 12 vehicles. 10 additional vehicles will be added for the coming year.

“The inauguration of this thirteenth station will make it possible to participate in the distribution of energy necessary for a large French urban area and to facilitate mobility in this region. In addition, such infrastructures make it possible to reduce the carbon impact of road transport in the region. We are thus strengthening the network of stations and also offering bioNGV offers to our customers throughout the territory”, explains François Brunero, Mobility Director.
