Bolivia Reaches 10,000 CNG Conversions in the 2022 Management

The Executing Entity for the Conversion to Natural Gas for Vehicles (EEC-GNV) reports that, until September 7, 2022, 10,000 public and private motor transport vehicles in our country were converted to NGV from free of charge, promoting economic reactivation in the sector.

With this result, the General Director of the EEC-GNV, Karina Villacorta Murguía, ratifies the commitment that the institution has through the benefits that the conversion to NGV grants to Bolivian motor transport.

“The Executing Entity for the Conversion to Natural Gas for Vehicles contributes to the reactivation of the economy of the Bolivian people, particularly in motor transport, since the beneficiaries save on fuel consumption, because CNG is 60% cheaper than petrol. petrol, in addition to being less polluting”, highlighted Director Villacorta.

Mr. Arturo Aro Alanoca from the city of El Alto is user number 10,000 of management 2022, in time to thank for the attention provided, he expressed his satisfaction with the technology used in the conversion of his vehicle.

For his part, the Head of the EEC-GNV Operating Unit, Pavel Salinas, highlighted the qualities of the Sequential Injection kits (5th generation) implemented since May of this year, as an achievement of the institution at the service transport, providing care and maintaining the power of the vehicles converted with this technology.

“These conversion kits are calibrated by means of a computer, which allows the supply of CNG to the engine to be carried out automatically based on the power requirement of the vehicle, which is advantageous because the exact amount of fuel is injected,” Salinas specified.

In relation to the CNG Cylinder Requalification and Replacement Program, 20,953 vehicles benefited from these services until September 7, 2022.

“The five-yearly requalification of the cylinder or cylinders of vehicles that use CNG is the responsibility of all drivers, to guarantee that passenger transport is safe. Through the EEC-GNV this service is free”, Salinas said.

The Executing Entity for the Conversion to Natural Gas for Vehicles, dependent on the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy, works tirelessly so that more Bolivians join in saving fuel, caring for their vehicles and protecting the environment.
