ENGIE Solutions and Certas Energy France Launch NGV Refuelling Stations on Highways

Certas Energy France and ENGIE Solutions have announced the launch of their first two natural gas vehicle (NGV) filling stations in motorway rest areas. With ENGIE Solutions providing technical expertise and experience, the two stations have been designed, built and operated in La Palme and Manoire.

For more than two decades, these new infrastructures have been developed to provide high-performance public CNG services that are accessible 24/7, with an optimal fill time and configured to meet the requirements of heavy mobility.

The two new NGV filling stations are set to join ENGIE’s network of 60 public natural gas stations that are already in service across France. Through this collaboration, Certas Energy France is able to expand its fuel offer by integrating natural gas, allowing for a more sustainable and efficient form of transportation.

Both facilities provide natural gas in two different forms: compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Users of LNG can enjoy a range of up to 1,500 km, while the station enables a filling speed that is equal to that of diesel.

The La Palme station, on the A9 motorway, is designed to meet the needs of freight transport through the motorway network. It also serves as an important communication route between France and Spain. Meanwhile, the Manoire facility, located on the A89, offers convenient access for all types of vehicles, both light and heavy, as well as all logistics operators in the area. It offers 7/7 and 24/24 refuelling services.
