IVECO Debuts Europe’s First Ever CNG Ambulance in Spain

IVECO, aware of the importance of the emergency sector and the transport of patients, recently presented the Daily Blue Power NP van, powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), leading the market in terms of connectivity and sustainability. The Tenorio Group, with extensive experience in the sector and a fleet of 1,000 vehicles, was the first company in Europe to bet on an emergency vehicle powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), thus providing an added service to society.

Cristian Tenorio, General Manager of the Group, said: “Our commitment to natural gas is the first key step to protect the environment and eliminate engine noise, thus achieving greater comfort for the patients we transport. This acquisition is the first from a long list; we want that, in the future, more than 50% of our fleet will feature natural gas vehicles.”

The IVECO Daily Blue Power NP 12 m3 van is part of the greenest family on the market, the Daily Blue Power range. The model is the first light commercial natural gas vehicle with 8-speed automatic transmission. This version improves what was already the best solution for urban transport, offering a perfect combination: the sustainability of natural gas technology, the IVECO Natural Power, and maximum comfort at the wheel, thanks to its exclusive Hi-Matic automatic transmission.

This vehicle meets the well-known robustness, performance and reliability of the Daily, increasing the degree of comfort and reducing fuel consumption, with a very low level of polluting emissions, and with the best manoeuvrability within its category. It has a F1C engine of 3 litres that generates a power of 136 CV, with a maximum pair of 350 Nm, and fulfils with the of the Euro 6/D emission standard, reducing particle emissions by 76% and NOx emissions by 12% compared to its diesel version.
